Pace Levy expands with new services!

Pace Levy Inc. is proud to announce that Christopher Lynch has joined our staff. Chris has been involved in the world of imaging and data acquisition for over 20 years. Having graduated in 1983 from Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester NY with a B.S. in Professional Photography, Chris has been working in a variety of positions including four years at American Greetings Corporation, five years as a self employed commercial photography studio owner, and the last ten years as a support service contractor in the Imaging Technology Center at NASA Glenn Research Center. Still Photographic Imaging Capabilities

  • Conventional image capture in all film formats from 35mm through large format
  • Macro scale imaging with both film and digital formats up to and beyond 1:1
  • Operation of 35mm still film cameras in remote operations including
    • Set up and functional check-out in vacuum environments
    • Lens choice and customer directed field of view requirements
  • All manner of lighting instruments including
    • Electronic flash in studio and on location
    • Tungsten light sources including very large scale research setups
    • Available light and mixed light sources
    • Digital image capture, manipulation, archiving, and scanning with state of the art digital cameras in 35mm and medium format
    • On location professional photography

Scientific Imaging Capabilities

  • Operation of Milliken high speed cine cameras including
    • Set up, proper motor configuration and boresight alignment
    • Loading, unloading and film stock choices/supply
    • Customer specified lens choices and field of view requirements
    • Post event film handling, processing and dubbing to suitable video format
  • Operation of FLIR/Agema infrared camera systems including
    • Determining subject emissivity
    • Capturing and saving files
    • Experimental setup, lens choice and customer specified field of view requirements
    • Knowledge of infrared limitations and use in specialized environments
    • Level 1 & 2 infrared training courses
  • Operation of the Vision Research Phantom cameras including
    • Lens choice and field of view optimization
    • Remote operation in vacuum and hazardous environments
    • Lighting requirements to capture high-speed events
  • Operation of the Panasonic High Definition Progressive scan video camera including
    • Set up and recording in variety of environments
    • Specialized operations with high shutter speeds
    • Lighting requirements to capture macro scale events
    • Synchronizing signals and event ID onto remote tape decks
